Hobson's choice: a choice without an alternative

Origin (from Dictionary.com): The origin of the term Hobson's choice is said to be in the name of one Thomas Hobson (ca. 1544-1631), at Cambridge, England, who kept a livery stable and required every customer to take either the horse nearest the stable door or none at all.

I wish I were faced with Hobson's choice right now. Above is a work-up of my second DSS idea. That fire is kicking my butt. I've been messing with this on and off all day. Rawr.

So it's either this, or just stick with my other entry, which, frankly, looks more "done" to me. Meh. Time for sleep.

Thanks for all the kind comments, everyone! I tried another tactic with for the fire and have been tweaking all day. I think the fire's improved, but it ain't perfect yet.
