Word of the Day

I've seen, and been inspired by, many "photo a day" projects, so I thought I'd try one myself, with my own little grammarian spin: create a photo using a Word of the Day gadget on my Google homepage for guidance and inspiration. And what better day than January 27, my thirtieth birthday, to begin such an undertaking? (Okay, maybe new year's day, but I was too lazy to bother then.) This project is also to help keep me thinking and creating images the way DGrin's Last Photographer Standing contest has challenged me to do--a challenge I've found really enjoyable and creatively stimulating.     Mar. 31, 2008 (Day 65) Xenophobia: fear or hatred of what is strange or foreign When all else fails, be silly... Or, "I Know Kung Fu."Two tins from my travels. On the left a candy tin from the most amazing bakery in Madrid. On the right a cookie tin from Harrods. I just like to shop at Harrods for the containers everything comes in. If I could have carried the crock of blue cheese on the plane and not worried about it spoiling, it would have come back with me, too. That was an awesome crock.And thank you, everyone, for the kind words during my inspiration flatline. I believe in putting up nothing I'm not proud of, and I always strive to take a good picture. It's the lack of new ideas that's frustrating me. I miss my font of image-stories. That's what I want back.
